The Big Revamping.

So a quick recap. January 24, 2018 marked the creation of riggingfreedom, which eventually became oceanfoamed as my journey deeper into the Age of Sail fandom continued. For five solid months ( as my Jack Sparrow muse was running strong as early as January 9 ) I was healthier, happier, more active and present in my writing than I have been in a very long time.

As was perhaps inevitable, I did hit a rough patch. I went to old habits, old homes, and I have found that while my love there is strong the atmospheres just do not mesh well with me. I found myself incredibly unhappy during a time in my life when I should be extremely excited – and after some objective digging I have concluded I needed a fresh start in the place that is, by far, the healthiest and most motivating for me as both a creator and a person.

My journey to a new level of mental and physical wellness started with the creation of riggingfreedom and I no longer wish to deny that. This is something that not only makes me happy – it inspires me to get out and be active, to visit the ocean, to explore my historic city, to see the world beyond my apartment so I can come back thriving and bringing content both written and aesthetic to a community that takes genuine pleasure in seeing people live good lives.

This fandom has encouraged me to go back to my roots as a creator and design not only people, but places. To describe the world beyond a one on one interaction, to involve characters in so much more than a smashing of personalities but a series of thought out adventures.

So in honor of pride month and in honor of the month of my birth I felt it fitting to come back to the place where I have felt the most proud to be everything I am in ages, the place where my sense of creativity was truly reborn – and build it into a complete home.

It’s not going to be big, but everyone here will be family and honestly I don’t need anything more than that. That said, while I am in the process of moving things may be a little slow. There’s over 100 pages worth of content on the original blog to sift through and copy over, as well as queue in some cases. Once everything is completely settled in though, I’ll be all over the everywhere, so hold on to your butts darlings, it’s going to be a wild ride!
