This is just a quickie notation regarding Charles Vane and in particular, his relationship with Jack Rackham and Anne Bonny. While I have stamped a great deal of disclaimers on Vane in general it occurs to me now that folks are adopting his bookends that I should clarify myself a little.

I have Jack and Anne as NPC’s here because – I do have voices for them, just nothing strong enough for the limelight and close examination that characters who are officially crewed require. Due to how important they are to my interpretation of Vane, a lot of his headcanons involve them – some being centric on certain dynamics, others even including bits of dialogue or scenes unseen in the canon but true to my lad. Sometimes, if needed, they may cameo through a thread or plotting arrangement – thus, NPC status.

The thing I want to stress though, is I do not expect or require my ideas to be shared? If something I post does not suit your interpretation of Jack or Anne that is 100% okay. I will work with you merrily to build who my Charles Vane is with your version of either – what these headcanons do is shape who my Charles Vane is by default, while interaction with Rackhams / Bonnys shape who he is in other ways.
