WHAT’S YOUR OTP FOR YOUR MUSE?:

  • Jack Sparrow: On the blog I write Jack with @tidefated‘s Armando and ( sort of ) his Cutler as well, so there’s that. I also love Jack with Esmeralda and Arabella, as well as several different OC’s ( some of which are my own design I will admit, though I will stan Jack & Nadifa til I perish ) Another big one is Sparrington, of course!

  • Horatio Hornblower: I ship Horatio with @tidefated‘s everybody on some level, honestly xD I also ship him with @lightsailing‘s Edrington ( platonic / frienemies / romantic even ) and in general I do love him with Edward, William & Andre! 

  • Abigail Ashe: She’s pretty attached to @tidefated‘s Joji and doesn’t appear interested in budging on that front any time soon.

  • Thomas Hamilton: @intolerablexsacrifice‘s Flint is the Only James To Exist as far as this gremlin is concerned, and of course he adores @harriedwritings‘ Miranda. I wish it would stop there but he is horrendous so naturally not. He’s honestly likely to pair up with anyone mad enough to dare, if they know his history with Flint.

  • Graham Hume: @tidefated‘s Billy & Edward have managed to snag him, though I honestly could not say who else he would pair off with? He has secret formulas to his tastes I have not yet managed to decipher.

  • John Silver: @tidefated‘s Billy is literally the only person to successfully romance him roleplay wise. I would kill for Madi, though boy howdy they have work to do and with my Silver being – the Jandro mess he is, uh. Uh. Good luck I guess? I literally have no idea who else. Maybe @intolerablexsacrifice but only because Malakh hates fanon Silver/Flint with the same amount of passionate vitriol as I do and it would be delightfully spitefully ironic.

  • Charles Vane: Heck. @tidefated has this boy by the coarse hairs I won’t lie. Abraham, Billy, Cutler, Edward, Joji, Max & William all have his love. Mind you with Max that’s 100% a platonic thing ( see nOTP’s ) He’d probably roll with @intolerablexsacrifice if Thomas willed it. He’d probably roll with @theypissedonme just cause they’re mates and he’s – like that, I guess. @harriedwritings Miranda, absolutely. 

  • Andre Cotard: Andre doesn’t get out much but he stans Edward, Horatio, & William.

  • Jane de Bac: Any man who can pick her up and is smart enough fucking not to has a good chance with her honestly, provided he’s not a goddamn idiot and is perfectly able to take orders from her if necessary. If he cannot respect the position she has built for herself, she has no interest. And if he is interested in profiting off her, well – that will not last long. She will not abide by having men scheming to take her power from her, mark me on that. So, provided he is a little revolutionary, doesn’t mind the fact she comes with three sprogs and a very demanding career in both high society and commerce, he is more than welcome to try. 

  • Theodore Groves: Literally anyone who can tolerate him for 10+ days lmfao. His biggest ship is with @lightsailing‘s Lord Edrington – he has nothing canonically and honestly I am okay with that. I think if he turned to anyone from his own story ( Aside of course, from my own Gillette, whom he does pair off with on occasion ) it would probably be Norrington. But yknow what he is also a total freak of nature so he might go for Davy too. He’s that wierdo who thinks the way the beard clings to anything that pokes near it is adorable so I mean. Who knows at this point with this duck.

  • Weatherby Swann: His beloved and departed wife Theodosia. Who I really need to write more about. Bad me.

  • Loki Friggajarson: Calypso ( & Davy, honestly. Terrible trio. ) Poseidon. Probably Armando if he got the chance at it. William Bush most likely. Probably Billy & Joji. Flint, Thomas and Miranda would be a fucking romp okay he would love the three of them so much, a bundle of spitfires, he’d be absolutely delighted. Probably Charles Vane. RIP the universe on that front. And idk – try him, he’s very mutable.

  • Derek Morgan: Derek is the epitome of homebody so he really needs someone who can shake his whole world up – man or woman, he’s flexible and he could really use some eye opening experiences. Also, somebody get this damn man some landlegs?!

  • Severus Snape: Honestly Severus is a hard cookie to crumble. I’ve been writing him the longest out of all my muses ( as my first canon muse, I’ve been writing him since 1999 and my only regret is I didn’t leave the fandom and start writing him like this sooner ) but when it comes to romance he is prickly and really needs time to get to know someone first. He doesn’t form attraction based on physical features but rather on intellect and engagement – if you can’t stimulate him mentally, he won’t bother with you sexually, which means going for him means going for the long haul on top of it. That said, he is flexible when it comes to gender so I mean, have at him. 

WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO RP WHEN IT COMES TO SHIPPING?:
My big thing is that I prefer relationships where the characters learn and grow together. It doesn’t have to be easy – in fact it bores me when it is – but it also doesn’t have to be a fight 24/7 either. I like looking at everything – from the small domestic moments, to the epiphanies that are drawn in the light of arguments or even discussions, to the physical and emotional tensions, all the way to how this relationship impacts other relationships, because I don’t believe these characters exist in a bubble and I love exploring what other characters think and feel about relationships as they form. For me a ship is as much about development as anything else, romantic elements included certainly, but if a character doesn’t learn anything, if the two just stagnate together – that’s no fun. I am all about characters that push and pull one another to do better or fall farther and it’s always a delightful entanglement. 

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?:
Fun fact. If a character is a consenting adult over the age of twenty one – I do not have a point of discomfort. I have been writing in fandom for nineteen years, which means I grew up back when internet safety rules were a thing and fandom spaces were generally understood to be run by adults, for adults – long before the ideas of puritanism and content policing. Which means I have been writing 20-40 year olds with Ancient As Balls immortals for longer than some people on this platform have been breathing.

I have been writing age gaps with the understanding that a consenting adult is allowed to make their own choices, for good or for ill, for long enough to have lost all concept of a fuck to give about what it looks like in the real world, because rather like Thomas Harris, I am capable of writing something questionable without toting it as my personal morality outside of explorational fiction. I am no more interested in dating a 1200 year old ( or 70 year old ) than Harris is interested in consuming human flesh and tricking the police into joining him for dinner. 

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?:
Kinda sorta not really but also yes. Confused? Me too. 

So to make this a little more clear. If I have 0 chemistry with you on an ooc level ( we don’t talk to one another outside of memes, there’s no headcanon exchanges, we aren’t yelling at one another at odd hours of the morning about this or that ) chances are you could play the best rendition of my favorite character in the whole fandom – and I won’t ship it because I am far too terrified to get invested. 

Alternatively if we’re interacting then I will follow your lead – if you express interest chances are I am already down. I never want to push people in this regard, but I am always clear when I do not want to have this discussion and it usually involves me starting with: I get the appeal but personally, it isn’t something I ship. 

I will never lead you on in this regard, but I may be far too shy or fucking nervous out of my mind to outright say ‘Hey, I ship this, would you want to explore it’ because my brain is full of gremlins. Sorry about that. 

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY’RE CONSIDERED NSFW?:
If clothes are on I still count it as PG-13 no matter how much heavy petting is going on outside of them so I mean my spectrum is fairly broad. I don’t put anything under a readmore, dick and dyson jokes are common here, and it isn’t entirely improbable that characters may be getting spicy under the sheets ( or on top of desks / wherever happens to be convenient ) but for the most part I don’t really consider it NSFW unless there is some heavier descriptions personally. That said because I am aware this account has people who watch it for some raisin, I will tag anything from a dick joke to a full on dysoning from here to high heaven just to be safe.

I pretty much answered this in OTP’s but honestly I will ship my characters with anyone whom they can form something organic and healthy with. If it feels like something we can get invested in I will not hesitate.

Abigail supposed in some ways, the nerves that Mister McGraw could exhibit were quite charming, especially when one considered precisely what he was capable of. She wondered idly if perhaps he had forgotten the core bond between them, how deeply ensnared it was in his fate and that of Mister Hamilton’s, but in the end she supposed it didn’t matter. So long as he allowed his fear to cage him like this, there would be no hope for happy endings.
