Honestly Serenity you are in every way your namesake. You’ve brought so much peace and joy into my life and I cannot thank you enough for that. I get nostalgic about our threads together constantly and they’re among the things I re-read the most often. 

We’ve walked through many a tirefire together and I like to think we’ve come out better for it, though sometimes I think it’s just turned us into the Grumpy Old Men who sit together and reminisce about how stupid this hellsite can be, and how easily we can spot and shake our canes at bullshit as a result. 

Your writing remains to this day some of the most powerful stuff, and our initial thread – I swear to goodness our fucking hello, friend thread, when we didn’t even know if we’d like writing with one another or if this would be another Ship Passing Through in the incredibly enormous Black Hole that was “That Fandom” – still fucks me up. I still get a little breathless with how intense those emotions are and how fucking visceral and cathartic it was and I’ll straight up never forget it. 

But we’ve also produced some ridiculous memes. Beefcake Sunday is our legacy and I’m never letting it go ❤
