❌❌❌ Muharrem ( make the poor boy blush )

Muharrem is a very tactile person – as a general rule he gravitates toward those who hold a similar nature and brushes against them, leans alongside them and generally acquires much of his need for human connection through their company.
Hand holding is something that is completely normal to him – and while he has learned among the English it is absolutely not the done thing, he generally finds individuals who crave simple human connections like he does and manages to clasp hands with those he becomes close to rather regularly. For him this is nothing more than a friendly action and there is nothing untoward about it.

That said, there are certain kinds of touching that can lead to oft-unintended arousal – such as clasping his leg or laying a hand on the small of his back. Both of these are deeply intimate gestures in his culture, and indicative to him of seduction and attraction that – if one is not clear – could lead to misunderstanding as surely as it could to bliss.

Muharrem is deeply moved by massage, as it is both an intimacy and a kindness – due to his stances on leg touching, having his thighs and calves massaged is sure to turn this man into a heated puddle beneath one’s palms quite easily.
Light sensations – such as a feather or a ribbon being trailed along the skin – can be deeply rousing for him, especially around his neck and collarbone – and inner thighs. His breathing tends to deepen as he loses himself to the sensation of his body tightening and rippling under these administrations – goosebumps are enticing to him, and he enjoys being tormented and teased in a manner that borders upon the masochistic during slower and sweeter evenings. On more demanding nights however, being denied orgasm during action drives him absolutely wild, and he loves it dearly.
Muharrem enjoys praise, and can be turned into a proper puddle with the right words whispered to him at the most opportune moment.

Frog for Silver, Tom Pullings, Daniel, Charles, and Muharrem

Frog: Does your muse make any strange noises? Or do they do anything relatively strange with their mouth unknowingly?

Silver mm’s on occasion as a means of indicating disapproval, though he has for the most part come to utilize this rarely since learning the power of a look. He has learned that thinning his lips and tilting his head just right – with the slightest flinch of his nose, as if in silent snarl is perhaps the most effective tool in his arsenal for controlling the men without so much as a fucking word.

Thomas licks his lips when he wishes to draw attention to them – it is only semi-conscious, and may in fact not be so overt. He is also known to simply suck his bottom lip between his teeth for the same effect, or to draw them down in a notable pout. His lips are very expressive and a good means of determining his mood – provided of course, he is not distracted by his libido at the time.

An imperious air has been part of Gillette’s upbringing from day one. He has mastered a non-expression that he typically sticks to more often than not, but particularly when listening to reports or attending to business. In these times, his chin may jut out slightly in an unspoken and commanding manner whilst his lips thin in what appears to be displeasure – this, in truth, enables him to keep from smiling when men falter over themselves in the face of such stern countenance.

Charles’ voice is in and of itself a strange thing. Many often believe his growly tones are affected for the sake of intimidation – however, after prolonged exposure one will come to realize that this is the effect of violence done unto him that has permanently affected his vocal chords.

This, as a result, can add to interesting effects based on what he is trying to convey – his laughter has been known to rasp into soundlessness, for example, and his shouts have been known to crack on occasion as well.

This latter one is rare, but has happened enough that he has learned to master a loud bark that pushes his throat to the limit of its capacity without reaching that point, as opposed to the type of roaring bellow one might expect from such a lionesque man.

While a generally affable man, Muharrem is known to flash his teeth in a predatory fashion once incensed – forming his words in an aggressive manner that bares them frequently, as if at any moment he may well fly for the vulnerable flesh of his opponent’s throat.

Interestingly, after this event he may be noted to smile more frequently at the individual who angered him – which to many may appear to be a sign that peace has been achieved. His smile baring teeth is not a friendly gesture – this, too, is a sign of continued aggression. It is only when Muharrem smiles without a hint of teeth that he is showing true softness, and pleasure in your company.

{ Food Headcanons }

Muharrem prefers traditional food of his father’s country, and the neighbouring Grecian cuisine far above and beyond what English and colonial fare provides. Many of the ingredients can be found anywhere – either by nature or by trade – but he has particular tastes when it comes to some, causing him to save his wages explicitly to purchase them so that he might be able to make the ship fare more bearable.
When on land, Muharrem is known to cook for the crew who have an interest in it – a small group will split off and put their money together for a feast, which Muharrem will direct quietly and result in a hearty meal for the lot of them that often leave the newer to it rather attached to the privy for awhile afterward. Muharrem considers it a hilarious compliment when those same men return for the farewell meal despite their experience with proper food.
Muharrem is not arrogant about much – but when it comes to food he does believe his father’s people to be far advanced over the British. He will never be able to comprehend why the English hold such a monopoly over spices they clearly have no notion how to use, nor any desire to learn how to implement.

Be contrasting. Muharrem is attracted to people who stand out among their fellows for various reasons. Be it a controversial political stance, an unusually soft personality, a unique physical trait, or what have you – if it is something that differentiates you from the masses in some way it is likely to be something Muharrem will like most about you – especially if that thing happens to get you into a lot of trouble or is something you seem to dislike in yourself.
Know humility. In a world where men are constantly bragging about their connections to better, more accomplished men and making grand claims of their own capacities, men who have both shown themselves to be skillful and yet remain humble and grounded in spite of their capabilities will always be more attractive to Muharrem than the latter. He considers using the names and accomplishments of others as a means to climb socially to be the height of disingenuous behaviour, and has no time for such individuals.
Engage him in conversation. Muharrem tends to keep to himself more often than not, going about his duties quietly and often eating while working just to avoid figuring out where he might be welcome. Taking the initiative to show interest in him will indicate to Muharrem that you are tolerant and open minded, which will win you his favor swiftly. He thrives on private discussions and will generally imprint on those who engage him, thus resulting in him making efforts to approach on his own terms, and building a rapport.
Show interest in his art. Muharrem does henna work for anyone who sees fit to commission it, and the more one does so the more likely it will be that Muharrem will approach and offer to do work for free in order to practice, or try out a new design. As it is slow and painstaking work, it generates time for discussion and can be a fairly intimate affair, which tells Muharrem you are comfortable in his presence and that you are a person he can call a friend. Being his friend is the surest way to becoming something more.
Flirt with him. Muharrem will be startled, certainly, but he will respond in kind and make something of a game of it. He is quite open with such behaviour so depending on the verse one might have to be careful in taking the direct method.
